SAIC Biomedical Sciences provides technical services and support to the Department of Defense, the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), the Department of Homeland Security, the National Institutes of Health, and commercial organizations for biomedical research and development, and licensure and management of U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated pharmaceuticals, biologics, and devices. Services include biomedical science and technology program planning, management, and analysis; a full slate of business and management services (e.g., Defense acquisition life-cycle management); and regulatory affairs support (e.g., FDA regulatory strategy and planning, application preparation and submission, and cGMP audits and assessments). Scientific and programmatic expertise includes infectious diseases, medical chemical and biological defense, prevention of injury from environmental and toxic hazards, trauma management, and cancer. Some work is performed on government sites, including Headquarters, USAMRMC offices (e.g., Medical Chemical and Biological Defense Research Program office); U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense; U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases; and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.
