American Biomedical Group, Inc. (ABGI) is a privately-held company dedicated to helping healthcare providers preserve quality patient care in an era of intense financial pressure and declining resources. ABGI was founded in 1987 by former hospital managers to help medical facilities meet their need to better manage the utilization and maintenance of capital equipment assets.

Our products include:

1. The Capital Asset Performer (CAP) which helps the hospital reduce technology repair and maintenance costs in all equipment categories: clinical, plant, telecommunications, and information services. The CAP program includes a broad range of reports needed to effectively manage, value and measure utilization of technology. CAP is a single source solution for all repair and maintenance needs, replacing multiple service contracts, while reducing costs. Our military clients are familiar with this program under the rubric Prime Maintainer Program.

2. CENTRAL SUITE® Software helps our facility client to know what equipment it has, where it is in the building at any given time, and on which patients or in which areas of the facility it is being used.

a. EQ TRAQ® manages moveable medical equipment, assures full utilization, while helping eliminate unnecessary inventory, purchases and rentals of equipment. Preventive maintenance is also tracked and identified.

b. IN TRAQ® manages the acquisition, maintenance and inventory of surgical instrument sets, packs or trays. This system also facilitates proper assembly and standardization of surgical trays and sets.

c. LOAD TRAQ® tracks the sterilization of instruments, sterilizer utilization, and documents all processes and results.

3. TAG AND TRAQ is the latest product offered by ABGI. It is a radio-frequency identification (RFID) system which extends the capabilities of Central Suite via a hybrid of barcoding and RFID tag componentry. Both Central Suite and Tag and Traq provide fully automated information reports for improved management of the entire technology and instrumentation inventory.
