Records and Information Management Services
Amelia serves as supervisor of the records management
program within the Records and Information Management Services program.
This program has primary responsibility for working with state and local
government officials in meeting their records responsibilities according
to laws and regulations set by all applicable government jurisdictions.
As local government services coordinator, Amelia is also responsible for
oversight of the local government component of the Georgia Historical
Records Advisory Board’s grant program.
Amelia is currently serving as project coordinator for
an NHPRC - funded grant to implement a lifecycle management process with
the historical records of the Board of Pardons and Paroles and to transfer
eligible historical data to the Georgia Archives. This project continues
the work begun during the Privacy and Access Issues in E-Government (2003-2004)
which developed implementation guidelines for the protection of personal
information in historical electronic records.
