About
This Workshop
Medical
Intelligence—the products of collection, evaluation, analysis,
and interpretation of medical, infectious disease, bio-scientific and
environmental health information—is now a vital commodity to help
support strategic policy formulation, medical planning and tactical
operations. Access to good medical intelligence products helps to assess
the strength and weaknesses of our medical and health service support
infrastructure, and—most importantly in this “Era of Asymmetrical
Threats”—helps to prepare our response resources to enhance
our preparedness and survivability when major events (whether natural
or man-made) occur.
The Fundamentals
of Medical Intelligence Workshop will teach you about the aspects
of medical intelligence to help your organization enhance its preparedness
and risk management posture. This workshop will help you understand
the role and importance of medical intelligence; how medical intelligence
is processed; what agencies can be used for MEDINT resources; and how
you can access their products.
