Market*Access International was founded in July 1997 by Don Dickson. The company was established to provide strategic planning, business development sales and event support to U.S. and international information technology companies and federal agencies.

Since its conception, Market*Access has produced and managed a regular series of training conferences and workshops in the areas of best practices. Today, Market*Access produces many courses covering critical homeland defense issues, including in the IT security and defense medical fields. Over 10,000 government and industry executives have attended these events.
